Abstract

This research examines gender dynamics in Islamic religious education through a library research perspective. The research background includes the history of Islamic religious education as it developed over time, reflecting changes in gender norms and gender roles in Muslim societies. The aim of the research is to understand comparative gender perspectives in Islamic religious education in various cultures and geographic regions, as well as identify contemporary issues related to gender in Islamic religious education. Research methods involve analysis of literature, historical documents, and application of relevant theories. The research results reveal significant differences in gender approaches between different regions, with culture and history playing an important role in the influence. Contemporary issues such as the role of women in religious leadership and women's rights in Muslim societies are increasingly relevant in the context of globalization and rapid social development. This research identifies the framework of social transformation theory, feminism in an Islamic context, and women's empowerment as relevant approaches in understanding changes and challenges in these gender issues. In conclusion, this research highlights the importance of inclusive and culturally sensitive Islamic religious education in promoting gender equality in Muslim societies. Gender dynamics in Islamic religious education play a key role in broader social transformation and advancing inclusivity in religious contexts.
