This research discusses the importance of character education in the student development process, which involves moral values, ethics and attitudes that influence their behavior. In the context of education, character is the foundation that encourages students to grow into individuals who are responsible, caring and have integrity. This article describes the basic concepts and principles of character education, as well as their impact on students' personal, social and academic development. Character education not only teaches knowledge, but also shapes students' character so that they can face life's challenges well, contribute to society, and become ethical citizens. This study states that investment in character education is the key to creating a strong and empowered generation, which can bring positive change in society.
